GREENSBURG, Pa. (April 12) – The Vulcans finished with a season split versus nationally-ranked Seton Hill by splitting a road twinbill on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play, falling by a 2-0 margin in Game 1 before earning a 1-0 victory in Game 2.
NOTES
• The California (PA) baseball team (24-7, 11-4) currently maintains a half-game lead in the divisional standings over both Seton Hill and Slippery Rock.
• The Vulcans and Griffins have split the regular-season series in four of the past five years.
• Cal and Seton Hill both scored a combined seven run over the four-game series this weekend.
• The Vulcans entered the weekend ranked fourth in the country with a .360 batting average, while the Giffins led NCAA Division II with a 2.76 ERA.
GAME 1
• Cal was shutout for the first time in nearly a calendar year while being limited to one hit.
• The Griffins scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first and added an insurance run on a fielding error in the fifth.

Nathan Holmes (3-1) was saddled with the loss after allowing two runs (one earned) on nine hits in 6.0 innings (81 pitches).
• Seton Hill starter Ian Korn (7-1) entered the weekend slotted third in the nation with a 0.89 ERA over 40.1 innings pitched.
GAME 2

Jake Kramer combined for a five-hit, complete-game shutout.
• Gill (3-2) scattered four hits and one walk over 4.0 scoreless innings (54 pitches).
• Kramer registered his sixth save of the year after allowing one base runner in 3.0 innings of scoreless relief (26 pitches).
• He now sits alone for third place all-time in PSAC history with 22 saves, which is seventh-most among all active NCAA pitchers.
• Senior second baseman
Santino Marra led off the fourth with a walk and later scored on a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded.
• Seton Hill started the bottom of the seventh and advanced the game-tying run to third on a sacrifice bunt and stolen base before a ground-out ended the game.
• The Vulcans left five runners left on base in the victory, including three at third base.
