WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 1) – Behind a multi-homer game by senior left fielder
Ryan Callahan, the Vulcans registered a 15-10 victory over Wheeling in non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon at EQT Park.
NOTES
• The California (PA) baseball team (18-5) improves to 10-2 in home games this spring.
• The Vulcans have scored a combined 30 runs in two victories over Wheeling this year.
• Callahan is the second player in five days to register a multi-homer game for Cal.
• He finished with four hits, five RBI and three runs scored on Tuesday.
• Callahan has already matched his career high with five homers this season.

Corey Kuszaj tallied three hits, three RBI and one run scored in his second career start.

Santino Marra and senior third baseman
Nathan Meeks both collected two hits and one run scored, plus scored a combined five runs.
• The Cardinals held a five-run lead in the middle of the second before the Vulcans cut the deficit to 5-4 on an RBI triple by sophomore center fielder
Ikon Jones and a three-run homer by Callahan.
• Cal tied the score in the third before both teams scored twice in the fourth inning.
• The Vulcans took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the sixth on a solo homer by Callhan before adding another run in the inning on a fielding error.
• Cal sealed the win by scoring six runs in the bottom of the eighth, highlighted by a three-run homer by junior
Connor Evans – his first of the year.
• The Vulcans and Cardinals both used six pitchers in the contest with only one pitcher working more than 2.0 innings.

Luke Treloar (1-1) was credited with the victory after working 2.0 scoreless innings of relief.
