Baseball to play Feb. dates at Mylan Park

CALIFORNIA (Feb. 6) – Due to ongoing turf installation at Wild Things Park, the California (PA) baseball team has altered its February schedule and will now be playing home games at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The Washington Wild Things announced in mid-December that the playing surface at Wild Things Park was being replaced with the project starting before the end of the 2024 calendar year. The facility will feature a state-of-the-art XTHD-50 artificial surface from FieldTurf. The previous artificial surface at Wild Things Park was installed in 2011, which forced the Vulcans to play the bulk of its home schedule that season at Pullman Park in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Cal will open the 2025 campaign with a doubleheader against Mansfield on Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. followed by a single contest on Feb. 16 at 12 p.m. The following weekend, the Vulcans will play a three-game series against Walsh (Ohio) with a doubleheader on Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. and a single contest on Feb. 23 at 12 p.m.

Additionally, the Vulcans have flipped dates for their single non-conference contests against Salem. Cal will now play at Salem on Feb. 26 before hosting the Tigers on April 16.

The Vulcans will be utilizing both Shilling Field and Dale Miller Field at the Anker Fields Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown. The fields feature an artificial playing surface with similar fence dimensions (Shilling 315 LF, 365 CF, 320 RF; Miller 315 LF, 360 CF, 315 RF). Cal will play the series versus Mansfield at Shilling Field before shifting to Dale Miller Field for the series against Walsh. The Anker Fields Complex is home to four turf baseball and softball fields and feature ample spectator seating at each field.

Mylan Park spans over 400 acres and contains nine different indoor and outdoor facilities, including the home facilities for West Virginia University cross country, swimming & diving and track & field programs.

The GPS address for the Anker Fields Complex is 300 Mylan Park Lane, Morgantown, WV 26501.

Additional information regarding schedule changes, including dates, times and venues will be posted on calvulcans.com when made available.
