Fall 2025 Dixon Trophy Standings
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Dec. 4) – In the first edition of the 2025-26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Dixon Trophy standings, California (PA) ranked 14th among the 17 league schools announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon.
The Dixon Trophy standings are based on an average score for every PSAC Championship sport that an institution sponsors. Each conference sport champion is awarded 17 points and a descending point value is given for respective place finishes. The second-through last-place values vary depending on the numbers of teams that sponsor the sport.
The Vulcans averaged 6.43 points across seven fall sports. Football led all programs with 10.5 points, standing as the only sport to reach double-digit points.
Cal accounted for 10.5 points in football after tying for third in the PSAC West standings before advancing to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs. Golf contributed eight points after tying for fifth at the PSAC Championships with its lowest stroke total at the event since the league adopted a three-round format. Cross country collected seven points after placing 10th at the league championships, while soccer earned 1.5 points after finishing sixth in the divisional standings.
On the women's side, volleyball paced the Vulcans with 6.5 points after tying for fifth in the divisional standings – the program's best finish since 2021. Cross country followed with six points after finishing 12th at the PSAC Championships and soccer added 5.5 points by tying for sixth in the league standings.
Kutztown leads the Dixon Trophy standings with an average of 13.92 points after totaling at least 15 points in four sports, including a conference title in football. East Stroudsburg ranks second with 12.50 points followed by West Chester in third place with 12.38 points. IUP tallied 11.00 points through the fall to rank fourth, while reigning-Dixon Trophy Champion Gannon sits in fifth place in the standings with 10.93 points.
Nine different programs have captured the Dixon Trophy since its inceptions, led by Shippensburg with eight titles. The other schools are: West Chester (five), Gannon (three), Bloomsburg (three), Lock Haven (three), Cal (two), Slippery Rock (two), Kutztown (one) and Millersville (one).
