ERIE, Pa. (Nov. 9) – The California (PA) women's basketball team closed play at the Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) Division II Tip-Off Classic with an 83-55 loss against Ferris State (MI) on Sunday afternoon.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (0-3) played three teams this weekend that advanced to the 2025 NCAA Tournament and combined for 69 wins last year.
• Ferris State advanced to the finals of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship last season and opened this year with a pair of games against preseason top-five teams in the WBCA Top 25 poll.

Kennedy Bankett scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting in 29 minutes.

Hope Hawkins added 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds versus the Bulldogs.

Alicia Young, who scored 39 points over the previous two days, collected five steals and was limited to five points before fouling out.
• Ferris State built a double-digit lead, 20-10, in the final minute of the first quarter behind a 12-4 run.
• The Vulcans cut the deficit to 27-20 at the 6:40-mark of the second quarter before the Bulldogs held a 39-28 lead at the break.
• Ferris State extended its advantage to 16 points multiple times in the third quarter, including a 60-44 margin at the end of the quarter.
• The Bulldogs led by as many as 30 points in the fourth quarter before finishing with the 83-55 victory.
• Cal posted a .431 field-goal percentage (22-of-51) in the contest and went just 2-of-10 (20.0 percent) from long range.
• Ferris State held a 44-29 rebounding advantage, including 21 offensive rebounds, and scored 31 points off turnovers.
