CALIFORNIA (Oct. 4) – The No. 6 Vulcans were unable to overcome three turnovers and were held under to 300 yards of total offense while suffering a 16-7 loss against Seton Hill at Adamson Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
NOTES
• California (4-1, 1-1) dropped its first-ever contest against Seton Hill.
• The Vulcans previously won all 12 meetings in the series against the Griffins, including all 11 contests since the program joined the PSAC in 2013.
• Junior
Kendrick Agenor led the team with 73 rushing yards on 11 attempts, plus added 55 receiving yards and one touchdown on five catches, while making his first start with the program.

Lloyd Penn finished with four receptions for 63 yards on Saturday.

Alexie Sangster, Jr. paced the team with eight tackles (one solo).
• Sophomore defensive lineman
Sedrick Vessah registered seven stops (three solo), 2.0 sacks and one blocked kick against Seton Hill.
• The Griffins finished the game with an 11-minute advantage in time of possession.
• Cal limited Seton Hill to only 71 passing yards at Adamson Stadium.
RECAP
• The Vulcans opened the game with a 33-yard run by Agenor before losing a fumble on the play.
• Seton Hill then advanced inside the Cal 10-yard line before Vessah blocked a 22-yard field goal attempt with 10:27 left in the first quarter.
• Cal crossed midfield late in the first quarter on a 26-yard completion to Penn before the Griffins made an interception on the next play at their own 11-yard line.
• In the second quarter, Seton Hill took a 6-0 lead on a 1-yard touchdown run at the 3:00-mark (PAT missed).
• The Vulcans recovered a fumble on the next drive by the Griffins that led to a 16-yard touchdown catch by Agenor with 1:47 left before halftime.
• The Griffins mounted a seven-plus minute drive in the fourth quarter that was capped with a 32-yard field goal with 8:49 remaining.
• Seton Hill sealed the victory with a 48-yard touchdown run by Ky'Ron Craggette – the league's leading rusher last season – with 2:22 left to play.
• On the previous play, the Griffins converted a third-and-18 with a 30-yard scamper by the quarterback.
