CALIFORNIA (April 6) – Following a three-week break due to weather conditions, the Vulcans opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 victory against Seton Hill at Roadman Park.

• The California (PA) tennis team improves to 7-8 this season behind a 4-4 mark in home matches.
• The Griffins fall to 3-9 overall and sit at 0-2 in divisional action this spring.
• The Vulcans snapped a seven-match losing streak in the series with the Griffins dating back to the 2017-18 campaign.

• Cal secured the doubles point for the third time in eight spring matches.

Carmen Duran opened the session with a 6-3 win at the third slot.

Maria Del Mar Ojeda and sophomore
Leandra Guldimann clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 victory at the first position.
• The Vulcans claimed the match victory by winning five singles matches in straight sets on Saturday.
• Del Mar Ojeda started singles with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the fourth position before Duran extended her singles winning streak to six matches with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the sixth slot.
• Schreiber collected a 6-3, 6-3 win at third singles and sophomore
Diletta Maria Mungo earned a victory at the first position by a 6-2, 6-2 margin.
• Guldimann added a 6-4, 6-2 win at the second slot versus the Griffins.
