CALIFORNIA (March 6) – The California (PA) women's basketball team posted a 13-2 run over the final five-plus minutes on Wednesday evening to advance in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament with a 57-54 win at IUP in the quarterfinals at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Center.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans improve to 23-7 this season behind a nine-game winning streak.
• Cal advances to the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament for the seventh time in the last nine seasons.
• The Vulcans will face host and No. 22 Lock Haven in the semifinals on Saturday, March 9, at Thomas Fieldhouse.
• The Crimson Hawks fall to 21-7 overall after losing at home for only the second time this season.

Dejah Terrell tallied a second-straight double-double in the post-season, finishing with 25 points and 12 rebounds (four offensive).
• She shot 9-of-18 from the floor, including a pair of three-pointers, and went five-of-seven from the free-throw line, plus added two blocks and one steal in 37 minutes.
• Terrell also became only the seventh active player in NCAA Division II to record 1,000 career rebounds (565 Cal, 436 Albright).
• Junior
Allycia Harris posted 12 points, nine rebounds (five offensive), one block and two steals in the win.
• Junior Iyahnna William finished with six points, three rebounds, one assist and one block in 13 minutes off the bench.
• Freshman
Nina Shaw collected five rebounds, four assists and five steals at IUP.
GAME ACTION
• The Vulcans opened the game on an 8-2 run at 7:13-mark and held a 17-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
• Cal posted a 9-2 rally early in the second quarter to take its largest lead of the game at 26-12 with 6:14 left before the break.
• The Crimson Hawks scored 12-unanswered points to cut the deficit to 26-24 at the 2:58-mark.
• Cal held a 27-26 lead at halftime, as the teams combined to make just a combined 2-of-13 (15.4 percent) from long range.
• IUP posted a 10-2 run early in the third quarter to take a 38-31 lead at the 4:27-mark.
• The Crimson Hawks held a 45-40 advantage at the end of the third quarter, which featured five lead changes.
• IUP led by as many as eight points, 52-44, with 6:52 left to play before Cal scored eight-straight points to tie the score at 52-52 with 2:18 left to play.
• The Crimson Hawks snapped a five-minute scoreless drought with a jumper at the 1:44-mark.
• Terrell made a three-pointer just under 20 seconds later to give Cal a 55-54 lead with 1:27 remaining.
• Cal added to its lead on a layup by Harris with 10 seconds remaining, 57-54.
• The Vulcans finished the game shooting 37.9 percent (22-of-58) from the floor and attempted just nine free-throws.
• Cal finished with 14 second-chance points in the victory and the bench accounted for 15 points.
• IUP sophomore Nyshae' Weaver collected a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds (five offensive) in the loss.

• Cal returns to action on Saturday when it faces Lock Haven at Thomas Fieldhouse in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, at 3:30 p.m.
