JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (Feb. 21) – The Vulcans seized sole possession of third place in the divisional standings and allowed only 12 second-half points in a 55-41 victory at Pitt-Johnstown in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Wednesday evening.

• The California (PA) women's basketball team extends its winning streak to four games and improves to 18-7 overall with a 13-6 mark in league play.

Dejah Terrell scored a game-high 25 points (17 second half) on 9-of-19 from the floor and six-of-six from the free-throw line.
• She also tallied nine rebounds (four offensive), two blocks and two steals while playing 35 minutes.
• Terrell has scored at least 20 points nine times in the last 16 games dating back to Dec. 19.
• Freshman guard
Nina Shaw collected six points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals on Wednesday.

Allycia Harris registered a season-high 18 rebounds (10 offensive), the second-most by a PSAC player this year.

Jordan Smith finished with seven points, seven rebounds and two assists in the win.
GAME ACTION
• The first quarter featured no lead larger than four points, as the teams combined for four ties and two lead changes.
• Cal scored 10-straight points to take a 23-16 lead with 8:10 left before halftime.
• The Mountain Cats countered with an 8-3 run to trim the deficit to 26-24 at the 5:15-mark.
• The Vulcans led by as many as seven points later in the second quarter before taking a 34-29 lead at the break.
• UPJ trimmed the deficit to 34-33 with 6:33 remaining in the third quarter.
• The Vulcans responded with an 18-2 run – 17 points by Terrell – over the next 10 minutes to seize a 52-35 lead with 6:00 left in the fourth quarter.
• The Mountain Cats were held to just 1-of-13 shooting and committed five turnovers during the stretch.
• Cal finished the game shooting 32.1 percent from the floor and the teams combined for only 10 field goals in the second half.
• The Vulcans registered a plus-19 rebounding advantage behind 17 offensive rebounds on Wednesday.
• UPJ senior Cassidy Crawford scored a team-high 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting and added five rebounds.
