EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Dec. 7) – The California (PA) men's basketball team scored over 60 points in the second half and nearly erased an 18-point deficit in an 89-86 loss at East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action on Saturday afternoon.

• The Vulcans (6-5, 1-3) have lost three games by six points or less this during their five-game losing streak.
• Freshman
Keondre DeShields set a season high in points for the second-straight day, finishing with 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including four-of-five from beyond the arc.
• He added six rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes while making his second career start.
• Classmate
Jordyn Buchanan also established a season high with 18 points on six-of-eight from the floor and tallied five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
• Sophomore
Dalman Alexander registered a career-high 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists while playing 39 minutes.
• Redshirt junior
Cam Polak finished with 11 points and two steals on Saturday.
• Cal trailed by one point midway through the first half before ESU later scored 11-unasnwered points to extend its lead to 36-17 with 2:23 remaining before the break.
• The Warriors led by as many 19 points early in the second half before the Vulcans countered with 11-consecutive points to trim the deficit to 55-49 with 12:30 left to play.
• ESU held a 12-point lead, 83-71, with 1:47 remaining before Cal went on a 10-2 run work the deficit to four points, 85-81, with 25 seconds remaining.
• The Vulcans finished with their best shooting percentage (.508, 30-of-59) in nearly a month after making over 60 percent in the second half.
• Cal was credited with 20 assists, its third game with at least 20 assists this season.

• The Vulcans are idle for a week before playing their final non-conference game of the year on Saturday, Dec. 14, when they host Wilmington (Del.) at Hamer Hall with tip-off at 3 p.m.
