CALIFORNIA (Nov. 8) – The California (PA) men's soccer team scored in the final five minutes on Friday evening to secure a 1-0 win over Lock Haven in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Senior Day at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.
NOTES
• The Vulcans finish the season with a 5-8-4 overall record, including a 2-6-2 mark in league play.
• Cal earned its first home victory since Sept. 21 while closing the year with its third shutout win of the fall.
• The game was scoreless at the break after the teams combined for nine shots, including four on net.
• The Bald Eagles nearly took the lead in the 62nd minute when a shot deflected off the crossbar and sophomore
Kiernan Webb made a save just under one minute later.
• The Vulcans registered the game-winning goal at the 85:19-mark when senior
Paul Morelli placed a ball in the bottom right corner following a free kick by freshman
Arik Landau.
• Cal and Lock Haven both attempted 10 shots in the contest, while the Bald Eagles finished with a 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
• Webb tallied three saves while recording his third shutout of the season.
• He finished the fall with a 1.48 goals-against average (GAA), the lowest since the 2019 campaign, over 14 games.
• The Vulcans recognized a group of nine seniors prior to play on Friday.

• Cal closed the year ranked fifth in the PSAC West standings with eight points behind a 2-6-2 mark in divisional action.
