California claims victory over Lincoln

Vulcans hold Lions to below 30 percent shooting from the floor; Hannah records double-double

CALIFORNIA (Nov. 19) – Behind four starters in double-digits, the No. 4 California men's basketball team rolled to an 84-52 victory against defending-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Champion Lincoln (PA) in non-conference action at the Convocation Center on Tuesday evening.

NOTES
• The Vulcans (5-0) posted their third win this season against a team that appeared in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
• Senior Keith Palek III and redshirt junior Cam Polak tied for the team lead with 15 points against the Lions.
• Palek added nine rebounds and four assists, while Polak finished with six rebounds and three assists on Tuesday.
• Senior Kadyn Hannah registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds (three offensive), along with two assists, in 23 minutes.
• Sophomore Dalman Alexander collected seven points, 11 rebounds (six offensive), three assists and two blocks off the bench.
• Junior Donald Whitehead totaled 12 points, three rebounds and five assists in the victory.
• The teams combined for only 17 points in the opening nine minutes before Cal mounted a 24-10 run to seize a 34-17 with 2:06 left in the first half.
• Cal posted its largest lead of the game at 33 points, 66-33, with 9:45 remaining in the second half after tallying a 19-8 rally.
• Lincoln was limited to just a .288 field-goal percentage (21-of-73), including only 6-of-25 from long range (24.0 percent).
• The Vulcans held a 59-40 rebounding advantage and scored 32 points in the paint.

• Cal begins Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover play on Friday, Nov. 22, when it hosts Millersville at 5 p.m.
