CALIFORNIA (Nov. 15) – Facing the top-ranked team in the region, the Vulcans closed the year with a 3-1 loss (20-25, 25-12, 25-13, 25-17) to Gannon at the Convocation Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Friday evening.

NOTES
• California finishes the year with a 3-20 overall record, including a 0-14 mark in league action.
• The Vulcans committed just four attacking errors in the opening set while earning their second set win in the last six matches.
• Junior Elisa Rugiero led the team with nine kills and senior Allie Droneberger posted seven kills on Friday.
• Freshman Courtney Smith and senior Sophia Johnson both finished with six kills in the loss.
• Junior Adrianna Favata tallied her seventh assist/dig double-double of the year with 15 assists and 10 digs.
• Sophomore Kay Lindenfelser paced the team with 15 digs and Droneberger and junior Caroline Mercer both added 14 digs versus the Golden Knights.
• Johnson closed the year with an average of 1.18 blocks per set, which is the program's highest mark since 2014.

FINAL STANDINGS
• The Vulcans finished the season ranked eighth in the PSAC West standings behind a 0-14 record in divisional play.
