Vulcans roll at Penn State-Fayette

Alexander records first career double-double; California bench scores 64 points in victory

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. (Nov. 13) – The No. 6 California (PA) men's basketball team used a balanced effort with 12 different players logging double-digit minutes in a 115-76 victory at Penn State-Fayette on Wednesday night in non-conference action.

NOTES
• The Vulcans (3-0) played a Penn State branch campus for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign.
• Cal previously played games at the Community Center on the campus of Penn State-Fayette in both 2012 and 2019.
• The Vulcans have eclipsed the century mark twice in three games and is averaging 103.7 points per game this year.
• Senior Keith Palek III led all players with 25 points on 10-of-13 from the floor and five-of-five from the free-throw line.
• He also added eight rebounds while playing just 23 minutes in the victory.
• Sophomore Dalman Alexander registered his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds (four offensive) on Wednesday.
• He also totaled three blocks and one steal while playing 17 minutes off the bench.
• Freshman Keondre DeShields added 14 points behind a trio of three-pointers in 11 minutes.
• Redshirt junior Cam Polak posted 10 points, four rebounds and four assists over 20 minutes.
• Sophomore Antoine Arnett tallied nine points and four rebounds in 14 minutes, while junior Donald Whitehead, Jr. finished with eight points, six rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes.
• Cal finished the game shooting 57.1 percent (44-of-77) from the floor and converted 21-of-25 (84.0 percent) from the free-throw line.
• The Vulcans held a sizeable 50-22 rebounding advantage behind 19 offensive rebounds that led to 25 second-chance points.
• Cal scored 66 points from inside the paint, including 42 points in the second half.
• The Vulcan bench accounted for 64 points in the victory with bench players scoring 42 of the team's 62 points in the second half.

• Cal returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 16, when it faces Concord for its home opener at 7 p.m.
• The Vulcans and Mountain Lions both earned at-large berths to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
