ERIE, Pa. (Oct. 16) – Facing one of the top-scoring offenses in the country, the Vulcans suffered a 6-0 loss at No. 13 Gannon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Wednesday afternoon.
NOTES
• California (3-5-4, 0-3-2) closed the first round of divisional action in fifth place in the standings with two points.
• The Golden Knights scored the initial goal of the game in the 31st minute and added a second goal at the 35:01-mark to take a 2-0 lead at the break.
• Gannon extended the lead early in the second half with a pair of goals within a span of three minutes, 4-0.
• The Golden Knights finished the scoring in the final 10 minutes of the game with a pair of goals.
• Gannon finished the game with a 23-6 shot advantage after tallying double-digit attempts in both periods.
