Vulcans face Bobcats for first time since 2015; WV Wesleyan scores lone goal in 26th minute

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (Sept. 6) – The Vulcans dropped a 1-0 contest against West Virginia Wesleyan in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon while making their initial road trip of the season.

RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) women's soccer team moves to 1-1 this season following its only non-conference games this fall.
• West Virginia Wesleyan improves to 1-1 this year after dropping its season-opener on Sunday.
• The Vulcans and Bobcats were playing for the first time since the 2015 campaign.

GAME ACTION
• West Virginia Wesleyan scored the lone goal of the contest in the 26th minute.
• Junior goalkeeper Emily Ouimet was credited with three saves while facing five shots on Wednesday.

NOTES
• Ouimet surpassed Kim Roadarmel (1994-97) for sixth all-time in school history with 209 saves.
• Freshman Veronica Warunek earned her first career start after scoring a goal in the season-opener last week.
