GALLOWAY, N.J. (Sept. 16) – Sophomore
Jonathan Thrush claimed an individual title for the second-straight week, as the California (PA) men's cross country team placed second at the Osprey Open on Saturday morning.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans totaled 90 points behind three of the top-15 individual finishers.
• Moravian (Pa.), a NCAA Division III program, captured the team title with 50 points after all five scorers placed among the top 20 overall.
• A total of 15 teams were represented in the standings and the field featured over 130 runners.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Thrush crossed the finish line with a time of 24:58.43 to win the 8K race by nearly 45 seconds.
• He posted an average mile pace of 5:01.5 while in New Jersey.
• Thrush has won three individual titles during his cross country career.
• Senior
Noah Bernarding placed third overall on Saturday with a time of 25:54.23, marking a consecutive top-three finish.
• Senior
Mason Jobe finished with a time 26:29.36 to place 12th overall.
• Sophomores
Kolby Kent and
Amin Contreras rounded out the scorers for the Vulcans by finishing 30th and 53rd overall, respectively.

• Cal is idle for two weeks before competing at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 30.
