JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 7) – The Vulcans tied the score early in the second half on Saturday afternoon before being dealt a 2-1 defeat at Pitt-Johnstown in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) men's soccer team falls to 3-7-1 overall with a 1-2 mark in league action.
• The Mountain Cats improve to 3-3 this season and also sit with a 1-2 record in divisional play.
• UPJ snapped a 16-game winless streak (0-15-1) in the series with Cal, as its previous victory was in 2008 when the Mountain Cats were members of the WVIAC.
GAME ACTION
• UPJ took a 1-0 lead late in the first half when Jaeger James scored on a free kick in the 30th minute.
• The Vulcans tied the score at the 60:14-mark on a goal by freshman
