Noah Bernarding and sophomore
Jonathan Thrush both registered top-five individual finishes at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
TEAM NOTES
• The Vulcans placed second at the event with 83 points while featuring four top-25 runners
• The host Tartans cruised to the team title with 41 points after boasting four of the top-10 runners.
• Point Park finished third in the standings with 92 points at the event, which featured entries from 14 teams.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Thrush placed third overall in the 8K after crossing the finish line in 25:25.7.
• He has posted a top-10 finish in all four races this fall, including four top-five times.
• Bernarding finished in fifth place on Saturday with a time of 25:37.5.

Jordan Wiedman both accounted for under 25 points in the standings while at Schenley Park.
• Former Tartan All-American Michael Obroin won the individual title by over 10 seconds with a time of 25:14.2

• The Vulcans are idle for two weeks before competing at the PSAC Championships on Oct. 21 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Bloomsburg most recently hosted the league champions in 2019.
