Women's Soccer falls at Pitt-Johnstown, 2-0

Neidig scores both goals for Mountain Cats, leads PSAC with 10 this year; Ouimet registers eight saves

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 25) – The Vulcans played Pitt-Johnstown to a scoreless first half before being dealt a 2-0 defeat in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Wednesday afternoon.

RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) women's soccer team drops to 2-11-2 overall with a 1-10-2 record in conference play.
• The Mountain Cats improve to 3-9-4 this season behind a 3-8-3 mark in divisional action.
• UPJ swept the series against Cal this year and holds a 7-1-1 mark against the Vulcans since the 2018 campaign.

GAME ACTION
• The teams entered halftime scoreless despite combining for nine shots in the first half, including five shots on goal.
• The Mountain Cats took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute on a goal by Haley Neidig, a two-time All-PSAC West selection.
• UPJ added an insurance goal at the 69:31-mark when Neidig scored her league-leading 10th goal of the season.
• Junior Emily Ouimet tallied eight saves while facing 16 shot attempts on Wednesday.
