CALIFORNIA (Jan. 10) – The California (PA) athletic department announced on Tuesday afternoon that its accepting nominees for the Vulcan Athletic Distinguished Service Award for consideration with the Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

The award was initially announced prior to the holidays with nominees now being officially accepted through the online form available HERE.

The purpose of the Vulcan Athletic Distinguished Service Award is to recognize individuals by virtue of their performance on athletic teams or by meritorious efforts on behalf of athletics. The award will be presented only when nominees receive 70 percent of the votes from the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.

Additionally, nominees for the Athletic Hall of Fame are accepted through the year by submitting information through the online form available HERE.

Note, student-athletes are not eligible for Athletic Hall of Fame consideration until 10 years after completing their athletic eligibility, while coaches, administrators and support personal are eligible for consideration five years after leaving the institution. All candidates must be of good character and reputation and have represented California Athletics in a positive fashion while a student-athlete, coach, administrator, support personnel and/or alumna.
