CALIFORNIA – California University of Pennsylvania will hold its fourth-annual Athletics Day of Giving scholarship fundraiser on Tuesday, Sept. 21. All money raised from the event will benefit the athletics scholarship fund for student-athletes.
The Day of Giving website is active for donations. Contributions also will be accepted from those who wish to extend financial support after the event.
Cal U continued its partnered with GiveCampus, a digital fundraising and volunteer management platform, in preparation for this year's event. Each of the athletic programs at Cal U has a unique page on the website, with video messages from head coaches to alumni, fans and supporters.
The website allows users to designate which program(s) they would like to support with donations and provides options for various challenge and match campaigns. Visitors to the site also can become advocates for an athletics program by sharing the donation link on various social media platforms or via text and email.
