The Vulcans eventually took a 35-26 lead at the break after allowing the Marauders to make only eight field goals in the first half.

Millersville worked the deficit down to 44-38 early in the second half before Cal U engineered an 11-4 run, including nine points by Andjusic, to take a 55-42 with 11:16 left in the game. The Vulcans later built their lead to as many as 18 points, 70-52, on a jumper by senior Nate Bellhy (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry), who finished with 11 points, with 7:05 remaining.
