CALIFORNIA (Oct. 5) – The Vulcans rebounded from a first-set loss to collect a 3-1 victory (24-26, 25-20, 25-19, 25-18) over IUP Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play at Hamer Hall.
With its third win this week, the California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team improves to 13-4 overall and 6-0 in the PSAC. Meanwhile, the Crimson Hawks fall to 1-5 in league action and 4-13 overall.
Cal U received another solid performance from senior
Molly Delaney (Carmel, Ind./Westfield), who posted her seventh kill/dig double-double of the season with 13 kills and 12 digs.
Sophomore
Miranda Fouzie (Kingston, Ontario/Sydenham) finished with 11 kills on a .647 hitting percentage, while junior
Julia Muzy (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Liceu Franco Brasileiro) registered a double-double with season-highs of 11 kills and 13 digs.

Ema Bobbitt (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim) matched Muzy's dig total with 13 to lead the Cal U defense, while the team's offense was guided by freshman
Julie Henderson (Pickering, Ontario/Dunbarton), who totaled a match-high 52 assists and 12 digs.
The Vulcans fell behind early in the match when IUP managed to hit .256 in the first set. However, the Crimson Hawks went on to have a sub-.125 hitting percentage in the final three sets and finished at .122 for the match. Meanwhile, Cal U hit .285 as a team, including a .452 hitting percentage in the fourth set.
Cal U will take to the road for its next seven matches, beginning with a PSAC West match at Seton Hill on Tuesday, Oct. 8. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
