Women's Soccer plays to scoreless tie, 0-0

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Sept. 29) – The Vulcans registered their first scoreless double-overtime tie since 2010 on Saturday night, as they posted a 0-0 tie at Lock Haven in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

With the tie, the California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team moves to 7-2-1 overall with a 4-1-1 mark in league play. Meanwhile, Lock Haven now stands at 5-3-1 this season behind a 2-3-1 record in conference action.

The Vulcans and Bald Eagles combined for 21 shots in the contest with only three shots on goal.

Sophomore Ashley Magruda (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) earned her fifth shutout of the season after making one save on Saturday. Lock Haven junior Dana Wozniak also finished with a shutout by posting two saves in 110 minutes of action.

Cal U returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 3, when it travels to face Edinboro at 7 p.m.
