Chris Moehler (Centreville, Va./Paul VI Catholic) and
Billy Wilson (Glasgow, Scotland/St. Andrew's and St. Brides) each scored goals on Thursday evening, as the No. 16 Vulcans opened the season with a 2-1 victory at Seton Hill.
With the win, the California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team opens the year at 1-0 and has now won its last five season-openers. Meanwhile, Seton Hill starts the year at 0-1.
Wilson, a former three-year starter at Wheeling Jesuit, gave the Vulcans a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute when he scored a goal off an assist from junior
Scott Campbell (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek). The Griffins countered with a goal by junior Matt Luchetti at the 27:02-mark before the Vulcans reclaimed the lead in the final seconds of the first period, 2-1. Moehler broke the tie with his ninth career goal off an assist from sophomore
Brad Colvin (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) with just eight seconds left in the first period.

Shane Donovan (Pipersville, Pa./Central Bucks East) registered his first career victory, making two saves in 90 minutes of action. Griffins' freshman Jordan Sodhi finished with two saves in the losing effort.
Cal U returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 2, when it hosts Shepherd at the Phillipsburg Soccer Complex for Dunlevy Day at 6 p.m.
