EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 13) – Sophomore Haley Henderson (Pickering, Ontario/Dunbarton) scored the game-winning goal in the 26th minute on Saturday afternoon, as the No. 15 California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team earned a 1-0 win at East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

With the victory, the Vulcans improve to 11-2-1 this year behind an 8-1-1 mark in league play. Cal U is now in a three-way tie for first place in the PSAC standings with 25 points. Meanwhile, the Warriors fall to 6-3-4 overall with a 5-2-3 record in conference action.

Henderson scored her team-leading ninth goal of the year off a pass from redshirt sophomore Bethany Smyda (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) at the 25:49-mark.

Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Magruda (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) posted her seventh shutout of the year, finishing with five saves. East Stroudsburg junior Brittain Wagner registered four saves in the loss.

The Vulcans return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 16, when they travel to face Gannon in Erie, Pa., at 4 p.m.
