PHILIPPI, W.Va. (Sept. 27) – The Vulcans extended their win streak to eight matches on Tuesday evening with a 3-0 sweep (26-24, 25-15, 25-13) at Alderson-Broaddus in non-conference action.
With the win, the California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team improves to 13-2 overall to mark its best start to a season since 2008 (40-2). Meanwhile, the Battlers fall to 5-11 this year after entering the night on a three-match win streak.

Meghan Franz (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) finished with a team-high 12 kills on 20 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage. Classmate
Brandy Harris (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) added eight kills, while sophomore
Molly Delaney (Carmel, Ind./Westfield) posted six kills and seven service aces while playing in her first match in over a week.

The Vulcans return to conference play this weekend when they travel to Erie, Pa., for a pair of matches, beginning on Friday, Sept. 30, against Mercyhurst at 7 p.m.
