CALIFORNIA (Sept. 24) – Behind goals from four different players on Saturday afternoon, the California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team registered a 4-0 win against East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action at the new Soccer Facility.
With the victory, the Vulcans improve to 7-1-2 overall with a 2-1-1 record in league play. Cal U, who also had seven wins in its first 10 games last year, has out-scored opponents by a 22-3 margin this season. Meanwhile, the Warriors drop to 1-5-1 this season with a 0-2-1 mark in conference action.

Edin Sabic (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) scored his fourth goal of the season off a pass from freshman
Brad Colvin (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) only 29 seconds into the game. The Vulcans added to their lead in the 33rd minute when sophomore
Christopher Karns (Mars, Pa./Mars) tallied a goal with an assist from Sabic.
After the break, Cal U extended its lead to 3-0 at the 59:23-mark when junior
Paul Silvestrone (Vaughan, Ontario/Cardinal Center) posted his fourth goal of the year off a feed from Sabic. Sophomore
Gaby Deller-Borgono (Toronto, Ontario/Oakwood C.I.) then capped the scoring in the 66th minute with a goal off a pass from Silvestrone.
Redshirt senior goalkeeper
Charlie Dagnal (Carnegie, Pa. /Carlynton) finished with four saves in his eighth shutout of the season and 15th career victory. The Warriors' Andrew Chongaway made two saves and allowed four goals in over 72 minutes of action.
The Vulcans held a 14-5 advantage in shots on Saturday, while the Warriors posted a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
