• The all-time winningest coach in PSAC history,
Denny Douds is in his 38th season as head coach of the Warriors. He is the fourth-longest tenured coach among those with 200 victories in all NCAA divisions and is one of 11 to spend his entire career at the same school. While at East Stroudsburg, he has guided the program to nine PSAC East crowns (last: 2003), three PSAC titles (last: 1982) and four NCAA Playoff appearances (last: 2009).
• After suffering only its second losing season since 2000, East Stroudsburg has opened the 2011 campaign with a 1-1 record. The Warriors feature an explosive aerial attack directed by senior quarterback
Ray Wagner, who leads NCAA Division II with 349.0 passing yards per game. Wagner has passed for over 300 yards in back-to-back games, including an incredible 375 yards and six touchdowns in the first half of the season-opener against Pace (N.Y.). Mel Tjeerdsma (Northwest Missouri State, 2009) and Douds (2010).
• Cal U head coach John Luckhardt has established a winning tradition at Cal U and that tradition has carried over into games against teams from the PSAC East. In the last 10 seasons, the Vulcans hold a combined 21-5 record (.808) against PSAC East opponents.

The 6-2 Virginia native ranks eighth in the country with 130.0 receiving yards per game and is tied for first in the PSAC with 13 receptions. Last week, Mayo amassed 180 yards - the sixth-highest single-game receiving total in school history - on only six receptions with touchdowns of 43 and 50 yards.
• Former Cal U cornerbacks
Tommie Campbell (Tennessee Titans) and
Terrence Johnson (Indianapolis Colts) both made their professional debuts last weekend during Week 1 of the NFL season. Campbell made a tackle on special teams for the Titans in their 16-14 loss at Jacksonville. Former wide receiver/special teams standout
Dominique Curry also made his season debut with the St. Louis Rams last week against Philadelphia after appearing in two games last year before suffering a season-ending injury.
• Following last week's win, Cal U moved up one spot to No. 21 in the AFCA Top 25 poll. The Vulcans have been ranked for 18-consecutive weeks, including all 14 weeks last season, dating back to the final poll of 2009.

Levi Pardee and sophomore
Mike Williams also started on offense after seeing significant time as reserves last season. Last week against C.W. Post, senior running back
Edwin Gowins made the start after playing at Stony Brook (N.Y.) the previous three seasons. On defense, junior
Robby Green has started both games at safety after playing in 26 games (six starts) for Alabama in 2008-09. Cal U has debuted a pair of first-time starters at linebacker this season in redshirt freshman
Spencer Lynn and sophomore
Brian Justice and also feature a new kicker/punter in redshirt freshman

• Last week, Cal U amassed 516 yards of total offense with over 200 yards both rushing and passing in their 41-13 victory over C.W. Post. It marked the first time in almost a year (East Stroudsburg; 09/18/10) in which the Vulcans surpassed 500 yards of total offense, rushed for over 200 yards and scored more than 40 points in a game.
• After playing in just one game as a redshirt freshman last year, sophomore linebacker
Brian Justice has quickly become one of the key defensive starters for Cal U in 2011. In the season-opener, the Florida native posted eight tackles against St. Cloud State (Minn.) in his first career start. Last week versus C.W. Post, he led the team with a career-high 12 tackles (four solo) and added 2.0 TFL, 1.0 sack and one forced fumble.

Rontez Miles blocked a punt that was recovered and returned 38 yards for a touchdown by classmate
Mario Washington. It marked the first punt block returned for a touchdown since
