CALIFORNIA (Oct. 22) – Freshman Chelsea Crockett (Gilmanton, N.H./Gilford) recorded seven points and senior Breeanna Robinson (East Hampstead, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) finished with five points, as the No. 4 Vulcans cruised to a 6-0 win at the new Soccer Facility over Millersville on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

With the victory, the Vulcans improve to 13-0-2 this season and maintain their lead in the PSAC standings with 32 points behind a 10-0-2 league mark. Meanwhile, the Marauders drop to 5-10-1 overall with a 3-9-1 record in conference play.

Cal U took an early 1-0 lead in the 11th minute when Crockett scored a goal off a feed from Robinson. Robinson then scored two goals in less than a two-minute span with Crockett collecting the assist on each goal to expand the lead to 3-0 at the 22:01-mark. The Vulcans added to their first-period lead in the 41st minute when freshman Jordan Gray (Whitby, Ontario/Sinclair Secondary) tallied her second goal of the season off another feed from Crockett, who became only the third player to tally three assists in a game in recent program history (since 2003).

After the break, the Vulcans took a 5-0 lead at the 67:22-mark when Crockett scored her second goal of the game, and seventh of the season, with an assist from Gray. Senior Darija Davidson (Courtice, Ontario/St. Stephen's) added her first goal of the year (unassisted) at the 86:21-mark to stretch the lead to 6-0.

Senior Paula Jackson (Kingston, Jamaica/Wolmer's Trust) and redshirt freshman Ashley Magruda (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) combined for the shutout with Jackson making one save. Marauders' starting goalkeeper Ashley Matyasich suffered the loss after allowing four goals and making four saves in the first period.

Cal U out-shot Millersville by a 26-3 margin after not allowing the Marauders a shot attempt in the second period. The Vulcans also posted a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks on Saturday.

The Vulcans return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 25, when they travel to face second-place Edinboro at 6 p.m. Last year, Cal U posted a 2-1 victory over Edinboro at Roadman Park.
