The Vulcans looked to end the game in the final 10 seconds of regulation before a shot by senior Amanda Heister (Palmyra, Pa./Northern Lebanon) missed high.

In overtime, both teams missed their first shot attempt before Work registered her second goal of the season at the 96:48-mark to lift Cal U to a win over nationally-ranked Slippery Rock on the road.
