Windell Brown# (Duquesne, Pa./Duquesne) rushed for two scores, as the California University of Pennsylvania football team cruised to a 48-14 victory over Lock Haven on Saturday night at Hubert Jack Stadium in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.
The Vulcans earned their fifth-straight victory to move to 5-2 overall and 4-0 in league action. Meanwhile, the Bald Eagles remain winless this year at 0-6 overall and 0-4 against PSAC West opponents.
Portis continued his strong play, completing 17-of-23 attempts for a career-high 274 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Over the last 19 quarters, the 6-4 quarterback has tossed 18 touchdowns and gone 120 pass attempts without throwing an interception. Against Lock Haven, Portis completed passes to six different receivers and threw touchdown passes to three different players.

Terrance Moore# (Key West, Fla./Key West/Mesa) caught a pair of touchdowns from Portis and led the team with 77 receiving yards, while senior wide receiver #
AJ Jackson# (Lehigh Acres, Fla./Lehigh/Sequoias) posted a game-high five receptions and caught a touchdown for the sixth-straight game.
The Vulcans engineering scoring drives on eight of their 11 drives in the game with six touchdown drives. Anthony Roberts# (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg/Iowa Central) each collected a team-high six tackles. In his first start of the year, McClellan also forced a fumble on the second play of the game.

Marc Domonkos# (Johnstown, Pa./Bishop McCort/Lock Haven) to open the game, the Vulcans increased its lead to 10-0 when Portis connected with Moore for a 13-yard touchdown with 5:17 left in the first quarter. On its next possession, Cal U staked a 17-0 lead when Brown scored his first touchdown of the season with 16 seconds remaining in the opening quarter.
The two teams traded field position in the second quarter until Brown scampered for a 15-yard score with 3:46 left before halftime, 24-0. On their next drive, the Vulcans needed only three plays to increase its lead to 31-0 on a 53-yard touchdown reception by Moore from Portis. In the opening half, the Cal U defense allowed only three first downs, 65 yards of total offense and 19 rushing yards.

Blake Williamson# (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) on the Vulcans' opening drive, 38-0. After Lock Haven scored a touchdown on the ensuing possession, Cal U countered with a 2-yard touchdown catch by Jackson with 2:15 left in the quarter.
The Bald Eagles then scored their second touchdown in the early minutes of the fourth quarter before Domonkos finished the scoring with a 35-yard field with 6:10 left in the game.
Cal U returns to Adamson Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17, when it hosts Edinboro for Homecoming. The game will be televised live on FSN Pittsburgh and is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. The Vulcans and Fighting Scots are both tied for first place in the PSAC West standings with 4-0 records.
