ERIE, Pa. (Sept. 6) – The Vulcans scored twice in four minutes in the first half to defeat Gannon University, 3-1, at Erie, Pa., in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.

Cal U continued its offensive attack when junior forward

The Vulcans held control of the game throughout the first period, out-shooting the Knights by a 12-5 margin.
In the second half, Gannon avoided the shutout at the 76:48-mark with a goal from Bruce Stephen.
Yobbi earned his second victory of the season after allowing no goals and posting three saves in 75-plus minutes. Sophomore
Charlie Dagnal (Carnegie, Pa./Carlynton) finished the game in the net for Cal U after allowing one goal and making one save in almost 15 minutes of action.
For the game, the Vulcans out-shot the Knights by a 20-13 margin, while Gannon held an 8-4 edge in corner kicks in the game.
Cal U continues PSAC West action on Tuesday, Sept. 9, when it travels to face Lock Haven University at 2 p.m. in Lock Haven, Pa.
