Nist leads Cal U to 3-1 win over Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio (Sept. 5) – The Vulcans used a 22-kill performance by junior Joanna Nist (Rockwood, Pa./Rockwood) to defeat the University of Findlay (Ohio) 3-1 (25-17, 25-27, 25-17, 25-15) in Croy Gymnasium on Friday evening.

The California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team's record improves to 7-0 with the win while Findlay falls to 3-3.

Junior libero Marta Hodge (Fayetteville, Pa./Chambersburg) led the team with 11 digs. Junior Renata Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Ateneu) added 41 assists, five kills and five digs.

The Vulcans continue tournament action tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, Sept. 6, at 12:30 p.m. against Wayne State University (Mich.) and Bellarmine University (Ky.) at 3 p.m.
