CALIFORNIA (Sept. 27) – Junior middle hitter Ludmila Amaral (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Afonso Schimidt) posted 15 kills and a .684 attack percentage to pace No. 13 Vulcans to a 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-19, 25-13) over Lock Haven University on Saturday afternoon at Hamer Hall.

In addition to Amaral, outside hitter Joanna Nist (Rockwood, Pa./Rockwood) finished with 10 kills, while setter Renata Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Ateneu) and middle hitter Thais Franca (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Padre Manoel De Paiva) each added six kills. Silva anchored the offense with 36 assists, four digs and three blocks, while libero Marta Hodge (Fayetteville, Pa./Chambersburg) registered 18 digs in the match.

The Vulcans (19-1) return to divisional play on Tuesday, Sept. 30, when they host Edinboro University for a 7 p.m. match at Hamer Hall.
