Women's Soccer ties East Stroudsburg, 1-1

CALIFORNIA (Sept. 20) – The California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 double-overtime tie on Saturday against East Stroudsburg University at Roadman Park.

The Vulcans took a 1-0 lead in the first period when freshman Raghen Morrow (Moon Twp., Pa./Moon) scored on a breakaway goal with an assist from classmate Darija Davidson (Courtice, Ontario/St. Stephen's). However, the Warriors evened the contest in the 52nd minute on a penalty kick before the two teams remained tied at 1-1 for the final 38 minutes of regulation and two overtime periods.

Senior Erin Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) registered seven saves on 17 shot attempts in 110:00 minutes of action for the Vulcans.

Cal U returns to divisional play on Tuesday, Sept. 23, with a 4 p.m. contest against Edinboro University at Roadman Park.
