CALIFORNIA (Sept. 20) – The No. 13 Vulcans used a 14-kill performance by junior
Ludmila Amaral (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Afonso Schimidt) as they swept past Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 3-0 (25-7, 25-17, 25-12), in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-West play on Saturday night at Hamer Hall.
The Vulcans' victory pushed their season mark to 15-0 overall (4-0 in PSAC) and extends the California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team's home winning streak to 30 matches. Meanwhile, the Crimson Hawks fall to 4-9 overall on the year and 0-3 in divisional play.
Freshman
Bridget Bielich (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) tied her season high with 12 kills on 18 attempts for a .611 attack percentage, while junior
Joanna Nist (Rockwood, Pa./Rockwood) added eight kills, 15 digs and four service aces.

Marta Hodge (Fayetteville, Pa./Chambersburg) led Cal U with 23 digs and setter
Renata Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Ateneu) collected 32 assists and five digs.
The Vulcans continue divisional play on Tuesday, Sept. 23, when they face PSAC-newcomer Gannon University for a 7 p.m. match in Erie, Pa.
