Volleyball sweeps Bluefield State, 3-0

INDIANA, Pa. (Sept. 13) - The California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team continued Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference/West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (PSAC/WVIAC) crossover tournament play by sweeping Bluefield State College 3-0 (25-7, 25-6, 25-14) in Indiana, Pa.

The Vulcans advance to 12-0 on the season.

Freshman setter Kortney Eshleman (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle) and junior setter Renata Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Ateneu) accounted for 19 assists each. Sophomore Rachel Wagner (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) and freshman Bridget Bielich (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) each tallied 11 kills.
Sophomore defensive specialist Julie Paronish (Hastings, Pa./Northern Cambria) led the team with nine digs.

Cal U will conclude tournament play later today, Saturday, Sept. 13, with a match up against Davis & Elkins College at 5:30 p.m.
