MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 4) – Junior forward
Amanda Heister (Palmyra, Pa./Northern Lebanon) scored two goals, including the game-winning goal in overtime, as the California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team registered a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Millersville University.
With the victory, the Vulcans extend their winning streak to four games and move to 7-3-2 overall, while the Marauders fall to 4-8.
After a scoreless first half, Heister put Cal U on the scoreboard with her fifth goal of the season at the 51:47-mark off an assist from freshman
Kayla Jachimowski (Camden, Del./Caeser Rodney). Millersville answered back with a goal in the 67th minute when senior Sarah Cameron scored off an assist sophomore Olivia Taylor.
The goal by Cameron snapped a scoreless streak over 375 minutes by Vulcan senior goalkeeper

The two teams remained tied at 1-1 through regulation and the first overtime period before Heister scored the game-winning goal – her second of the season – at the 102:19-mark on a header off a cross by
Erin Feltz (Munhall, Pa./Steel Valley).
Cook earned her seventh victory of the season in net for Cal U after making three saves and allowing one goal on eight shots.
The Vulcans held a 10-8 advantage in shots, including a 2-1 margin in overtime, while the Marauders maintained a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
Cal U returns to divisional play on Tuesday, Oc. 7, when it travels to Erie, Pa., to face Mercyhurst College. The game against the Lakers is set for 4 p.m.
