WEST CHESTER, Pa. (Oct. 4) –The No. 17 Vulcans used a 13-kill performance by junior Ludmila Amaral (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Afonso Schimidt) as they swept past East Stroudsburg, 3-0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-16), in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-crossover play on Saturday.

The Vulcans' victory pushed their season mark to 23-1 overall. Meanwhile, the Warriors fall to 10-12 overall on the year.

Junior Joanna Nist (Rockwood, Pa./Rockwood) added nine kills and 12 digs. Junior libero Marta Hodge (Fayetteville, Pa./Chambersburg) led Cal U with 14 digs and setter Renata Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Ateneu) collected 34 assists and four digs.

The Vulcans return to divisional play on Tuesday, Oct. 7, when they face Clarion University for a 7 p.m. match in Clarion, Pa.
