INDIANA, Pa. (Oct. 21) – The California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team earned its fifth road victory of the season on Tuesday, claiming a 2-0 shutout against Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.
The Vulcans improve to 10-4-3 overall and 5-4-2 in divisional play (17 points), while the Crimson Hawks stand at 11-6 overall and 7-4 in PSAC action (21 points). The win by Cal U snaps a nine-game losing streak to IUP that dated back to the 2002 season.

Chaning Wimer (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) collected her third goal of the season off an assist from classmate
Kristen Orrett (Pickering, Ontario/Pickering), who is tied with the team lead with five assists.
The Vulcans took their one-goal lead into halftime before sophomore
Sam Regney (Monaca, Pa./Monaca) added an insurance goal at the 68:49-mark off a pass from junior
Amanda Heister (Palmyra, Pa./Northern Lebanon), who also has five assists.
Cal U out-shot IUP by a 20-10 margin, including 11 shots in the first period, while the Crimson Hawks held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Senior
Erin Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) earned her sixth shutout of the season after posting two saves on 10 shot attempts.
The Vulcans continue divisional play on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they host Clarion University in the final home regular season game of the year at Roadman Park. The contest is set for a 2 p.m. start.
