ELKINS, W.Va. (Oct. 15) – Freshman forward
Kayla Jachimowski (Camden, Del./Caeser Rodney) scored her first career goal in the 103rd minute on Wednesday, as the Vulcans extended their unbeaten streak to eight games (six wins, two ties) with a 2-1 victory over Davis & Elkins College in non-conference action.
With the victory, the California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team improves to 9-3-3 overall. The Vulcans, who won only four games last season, are now ranked No. 5 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Atlantic Regional rankings.

Erin Fitzpatrick (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler). Regney, who played 11 games (nine starts) at the University of Pittsburgh last year, ranks second on the team with five goals and three assists for 13 points.
The Vulcans took a 1-0 lead into halftime after out-shooting the Senators by a 10-4 margin in the opening 45 minutes. D&E evened the contest at 1-1 on a goal by senior Brittany Milbourn in the 80th minute, forcing the game into overtime.
Neither team was able to break the tie in the first overtime period despite the two teams combining for five shots. In the second extra period, Jachimowski collected her first career goal in the 103rd minute with Heister registering her fourth assist of the season.
Senior goalkeeper
Erin Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) earned the victory in net for the Vulcans, posting eight saves (six in the second period) in 103 minutes of play. Senators' goalkeeper Jackie Krum managed 10 saves on 17 shots in the loss.
Cal U returns to divisional play on Saturday, Oct. 18, when it hosts Lock Haven University at Roadman Park for a 3 p.m. contest.
