McPhatter was named Coal Bowl MVP on Saturday, as the Vulcans upset defending-NCAA Regional Champion and No. 2 IUP by a 36-24 margin. He posted eight tackles and recorded a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in the final minutes of the game. McPhatter also broke the school record for the longest interception return that stood since 2000.
