McCann broke her own school record in the weight throw on Saturday while in Ohio at the SPIRE Midwest Open. She posted a heave of 14.97 meters (49-1.5 feet) on her first attempt to eclipse the previous school mark she set at the 2024 PSAC Championships. McCann placed third in the event over the weekend while competing in a field of 30 entries.
