Johnson established season highs with six receptions for 134 yards with one touchdown on Saturday night, as the No. 8 Vulcans captured a 45-38 victory at No. 4 Slippery Rock. The win marked the second-highest opponent ever defeated by California and snapped a seven-game road losing streak in the series He scored a 23-yard touchdown in the opening minute of the second quarter to give the Vulcans a 28-14 lead. All six of his catches in the win resulted in first downs, including a 30-yard reception on the eventual game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter.
