Bernarding broke the all-time PSAC record in the 800-meter run while at the Fastrack Last Chance on Friday. He posted a time of 1 minute, 49.40 seconds to eclipse the league mark set last year by nine-hundredths of a second. Bernarding finished fourth overall, behind only three professional runners, in a field of 45 entries while in New York. The 5-foot-10 senior reset his own school record established earlier this season by 2.65 seconds and registered the sixth-fastest time in the 800 meters in NCAA Division II this winter.
