Bernarding broke a 16-year old school record in the 1-mile run while in Massachusetts at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational on Saturday. He posted a time of 4 minutes, 12.55 seconds while competing in a field of over 110 entries at Boston. Bernarding eclipsed the previous school record set in 2008 by over seventh-tenths of a second. The 5-foot-10 senior boasts the fastest time in the mile in the PSAC this year by over 2.75 seconds.
