Rugiero averaged 4.71 kills, 3.43 digs and 5.36 points per set last week, as California played a pair of road matches in PSAC West play. She set a career high with 24 kills on a .354 hitting percentage in a 3-1 loss at division-leading Gannon on Friday night. Rugiero, who added 16 digs and two blocks versus the Lady Knights, tallied the most kills in match by a Cal player since the 2016 season. The Italian sophomore then collected nine kills, eight digs and three service aces on Saturday in a 3-0 loss at Edinboro.
