Franklin broke the school record while winning the 400-meter dash on Saturday at the Ed Fry Invitational hosted by IUP. She rounded the track with a time of 55.57 seconds to eclipse the 11-year old school record by 1.0 second. Franklin was competing in the outdoor 400 meters for the first time in her career and reached the NCAA provisional standard with the fastest time in the PSAC this season.
